COUNTY OF MILAN X MARCOLIN SUNGLASSES

Have a look at our collaboration with Marcolin on a series of iconic style of glasses: an unprecedented leather aviator - complete with neoprene strap and leather pouch - an acetate style printed on the inside and prescription style with a mirrored clip-on for sun protection, presented in an embossed leather case. Seen first during our menswear fall winter show, will be distributed worldwide in the most exclusive department stores and boutiques starting from June 2015.

These exclusive and modern sunglasses amaze with their easy-to-wear appeal and their characteristic square-shaped silhouette. The innovative design of the frame is due to the refined combination of the materials and the extreme attention to details. The acetate structure is entirely covered by genuine, matte black leather and finished off by unique hand-stitched details and metal inserts, which highlight both the front and the temples, adding a fresh and young vibe to the whole look.

Essential lines and captivating details liven these polished, square-shaped frames up. The black acetate silhouette contrasts with the exclusive white-gradient, pixel texture that embellishes the internal side of the temples, recalling one of the brand’s signature patterns. A shiny metal clip-on with flash, gold lenses marks the ultimate glamorous touch representing the perfect addition to the accessory, ideal for the unconventional consumers who constantly seek for unique and contemporary items.

The square front of the proposal revisits a classic shape with a fresh, stylish twist, through the metallic clip-on that originates a modern double-bridge structure. Its shiny profiles embrace bold, gold flesh lenses that stand out on the black acetate frames. Metal details, such as the iconic logo of the brand, adorn the temples and the front, for a perfectly balanced result of sophistication and urban appeal.
 
 

FW 2015/2016 SHOW

Enjoy our first show during Milan Men's Fashion Week, have a look at what happened in the backstage and join us for the party!

After last season's debut at Pitti Uomo in Florence, Marcelo Burlon stages his first show in Milano. The homecoming triggers a far-stretching journey that starts in Patagonia - complete with Malambo dancers performing with boladoreas - and ends up with a bold vision of the future, all the while defining an iconography that is firmly rooted in the moment. The patchwork of symbols and visuals is the byword: in Marcelo's unique world gauchos are spacemen and the urban jungle is a territory of endless adventures to be fronted as part of a posse, like Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid, the outlaws of the Wild Bunch who escaped in Patagonia for a while. It is exactly this sense of belonging that makes County of Milan something more than just a fashion label.


The collection is visually assertive. Striving on the power of collage, clashes and unprecedented associations, functional shapes are charged up with striking prints and mixes of different materials. The performance/utility element - multiple pockets, tool belts, protective padding on capes and parkas - is merged with traditional shapes like ponchos, gaucho pants and bombacha trousers. Roots are high on the agenda, so much so that an ape - the ancestor of the human gender as a whole - is the protagonist of a new print, or the embroidered hero on the varsity jacket. Fading pixel patterns, embroideries, patchworks and space-age motifs give a powerful makeover to urban staples such as sweatshirts, tailored skinny trousers, t-shirts and backpacks. Searching for roots also means an urge for authenticity that translates into new collaborations: flight jackets are developed with Alpha Industries, field-jackets and blankets with Pendleton, utilitarian boots with Solovair. A graphic palette of black, red and white makes the message sharp and effective, while intense craft gives pieces a tactile feel.

By re-appropriating his very own history and putting it into a new context, Marcelo Burlon continues forging a precise vision of contemporary style, at once fearless and soulful.


 



 
 

MEN'S SS15 COLLECTION: NEW ARRIVALS IN-STORE

We are glad to announce that our men's SS15 collection is now available in-store at our Milanese Pop-Up Shop.

The leitmotiv is: Patagonia meets motocross.
Our signature repertoire of sharp graphics and symmetrical designs inspired by Argentinian nature, tribal signs and esoteric symbology is enriched with references to the biker underground culture, basketball and powerful slogans (see the words “fuego” and “muerte” erased on the t-shirts and sweatshirts). Working around a protection/performance theme, we  have added hi-impact padded pieces such as racing trousers and tops. Ponchos and windbreakers are crafted in a new hi-tech fabric that glows intensely when hit by light. The Ombre Alloversnakes print works as the new camouflage, whereas our skinny pants, trainers, backpacks, t-shirts and bomber jackets are given a striking makeover with new 3D motifs.

The result? New garments that will sculpt your body and convey a sense of belonging to a cosmopolitan tribe while retaining a brave, individual feel.

We take great pride in joining in tonight’s charity event, Dogs Love Me, with a special DJ-set by our very own Marcelo Burlon - who will play alongside Jacopo Bedussi and Pascal Moscheni. Organized by Claudio Antonioli and Andrea Tenerani, the charity is in support of Italian NPO A.I.D.A.&A. (Associazione Italiana Difesa Animali & Ambiente), which is the leading animal and environmental rights association in the country.
